Treat Envy

In today's Washington Post an article posited that "Dogs Feel Envy -- or at Least Grasp Inequity When It Comes to Treats." The study found that dogs that watched another dog get a reward for following a command would start to hesitate, get upset and act frustrated if they were not rewarded for the same behavior. But you knew that, right?!

Come into GreenPets to stock up on treats that are healthy for your pet and adds to their well-being and good nutrition. It is so tempting to give your dog just a little extra from the table over the holidays. resist the urge to give them food that can cause problems, keep the treat jar filled with a variety of yummy snacks you can feel good about sharing.

We recently adopted a 13-week-old shelter puppy (beagle mix, we think) who is starting to get very into chewing. We haven't found anything yet to sustain his interest for longer than a few minutes. He has shown minimal interest in puppy Kong and a plush squeaky monkey, but nothing has really gotten him going. A friend suggested pig's ears. Are these safe? What else might you recommend?

If you have two dogs, you should treat the both dogs equally, so that the other dog wont envy if you favored the other

This article in the Washington Post highlights the fascinating research that dogs have the ability to recognize and react to inequality when it comes to receiving treats. As pet owners, it is important to provide our furry friends with healthy and nutritious treats that contribute to their well-being. Instead of sharing table scraps, consider purchasing treats from a trusted source like GreenPets. With their selection of healthy and tasty snacks, you can satisfy your pet's cravings without compromising their health. Additionally, for busy pet owners who may not have the time for in-person grooming appointments, online dog grooming services can be a convenient solution to keeping your pet looking and feeling their best.
